I've been reading Doctor Who fics (and bookmarking them as I go along). I thought I'd share some of my finds (I haven't read that many and some of them are old, so you've all probably seen them). Lovely thing about the Doctor Who-verse is that you can do a crossover with anything and everything. Kinda awesome that. :)

In 2007 I wrote 9 fics (24,627 words) in 4 fandoms. So, I have more variety and more fic this year, just fewer words. Is that failing?

My favorite fic of the year has to be Exploration. I think it's different from everything else I have ever written and, not to toot my own horn but, for me it encapsulates everything that the Goa'uld/Human-host relationship is like. Somehow, it feels like the best thing I've written in a long time--if not ever.

Anyways, here's to a new year and lots more new fic!

So, in between writing papers and studying for my exam, I took refuge in writing fic and that is how this one got finished.

Author's Note: Four months, sixteen pages, and no porn. Where did I go wrong? I guess there is hope for a sequel yet.

I was looking at my old fic and I reread the SG-1 stuff and then I spent time that I should've been using for homework making covers for two fics. So, covers, yay!

Of course, I went into this thinking I was going to make a new LJ layout. So much for that. And, for some reason I feel like the cover for with curves of moon, and paths of apple-wood (longest title ever, what was I thinking?), should've been darker and angsty-er. Considering the fic and all. Oh, well. Okay, now to really do homework.

I haven't made or posted icons since December. Whoa! Anyways, I made Love Contract (Asian Drama) icons. I watched the show about two weeks back and it was very well acted, I thought, but so depressing (rightfully so, given that it was a tragedy). Alas, there are no high-quality screencaps to be found (actually, I haven't found any HQ caps for any Asian dramas). Didn't look hard enough, yay for doramacaps!
